Although i followed the MS document to install and configure the Oracle OLEDB but iam still getting SQL SERVER ERROR 21629.
- I have installed Oracle OLE DB (and i can see it in installed productes in oracle)
- I have registered the dll as per document successfull by command "regsvr32 OraOLEDB10.dll"
- the sqlserver runs under local system account and the directory where oracle is installed has full rights for administrators.
- the oracle server instance is working and i can connect to it via sqlplus
the error details are :
"Oracle server instance 'testinst' cannont be enabled as a publisher because of following error:
The CLSID registry key indicating that the Oracle OLEDB provider for Oracle. OraOLEDB.Oracle, has been registered is not present at the distributer. Make certain that the oracle OLEDB provider is installed and registered at the distributer.
