Resources for upsizing replicated Access database to SQL server?

Hello,

I have a split Access 2003 front end/back end database.  The back end is replicated.  One main replica resides on a file server in our main office and several replicas are on laptops which our staff travel with for data collection in remote areas where internet connections are not always available or reliable. I would like to transition the replicated back end database to SQL server and maintain the front end in Access.  I envision migrating the laptop replicas to SQL Server (personal, compact, MSDE or whatever they're calling it these days) and migrating the data on our file server to a SQL enterprise 2008 server.  Depending on how awful that scenario is to maintain I might entertain the idea of leaving the laptop databases in Access if I can easily synchronize those to SQL server.  I would also like to maintain some semblance of our current replication scheme.  I am just beginning to read about how SQL server handles replication.  I would like to know if there are any good resources (blogs, articles, books, or whatever) that specifically address upsizing replicated Access databases to SQL.  Thanks!

-Bruce
