SQL 2012 Merge Replication with Web sync, do not enforce SSL Cert

Hello,

Is there a way to just disable, or force using a self-signed cert (basically allow it to use the invalid cert) when using the "Web Synchronization" part of merge replication?

I'm running that thru an SSH tunnel anyway--

Is there a buried config setting, registry setting, hack, etc? -- or can you use port 80?

We do *NOT* want to use a 3rd part cert, or fiddle importing the self signed cert in IE--

Also do not want to use the UNC or FTP methods.
